The cristalos miraculos installation was created at alpenhof ( cultural panoramahotel ) in one of the rooms of the hotel. Inspired from the spectacular view of The Alpstein mountain chain in the Appenzell region of Switzerland and the rock crystal, I created a wall installation with sequins foil and pins. It is based on the idea of an cloud crystal on the top of the bed (above the pillow) , while people are sleeping there. The crystal as a growing structure captivated me. As well the reflecting and the shapes fascinated me. I played with the transparency, geometrical shape while the material of the sequins foil is transmitting the identity of the rock crystal or mineral. At the same time the heal power / curativeness of the crystal along with shapes symbolic bothered me during the working process. In fact different types of crystals should bring peace, calm or purification, which I quite like as a notion.
